Austin Smith

Managing Shareholder, Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak, and Stewart

Mr. Smith is the managing shareholder of Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak, and Stewart P.C.’s Denver office.  His practice focuses on representing employers in various labor and employment disputes.  Prior to joining Ogletree in February 2011, Mr. Smith was an attorney in Brownstein, Hyatt, Farber, and Schreck’s labor and employment group.  He also worked as a law clerk to a United States District Court judge immediately after graduating from law school in 2005.  Mr. Smith is admitted, and actively practices, law in Alabama, California, and Colorado.

Mr. Smith is the former chair of the Arapahoe Community College Foundation (from which he graduated in 2000), he has served as an active member of the Denver Active 20-30 Children’s Foundation, and he remains active in various civic and community organizations in the Denver metro area.

When he is not working, Mr. Smith loves spending time with his family, studying American history, and racing cars and motorcycles (he’s addicted to horsepower and is not ashamed to admit it).
