The Colorado Forum was established in 1978 to create an informed, objective voice on critical public policy issues facing the state.  Our 77 members are recognized leaders in the business, education, health care, media, legal, real estate, agriculture, financial, energy, consulting, tourism, construction, and non-profit communities and represent disparate parts of the state.  Forum membership is politically diverse; we are a nonpartisan organization that operates by 100% consensus. Bruce Hoyt

Senior Vice President, Gary Community Investments

Bruce Hoyt is the SVP of Philanthropic and Impact Investing for Gary Community Investments.  Prior to joining GCI in December of 2015, Bruce served for 31 years in the investment banking industry specializing in mergers and acquisitions, private placement financings and asset backed securitization.  Mr. Hoyt was a founding partner of St. Charles Capital which was sold to KPMG in 2014.  He attended Northwestern University and the Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

Bruce is a Denver native and has been an active participant in the Denver community.  He served for eight years as an elected member of the Denver Public School Board and has held leadership positions on the boards of Mile High United Way, Seniors Inc., Mile High Child Care, Friends of Manual High School, and the Denver Zoological Trust.  He currently serves on the boards of the Data Quality Campaign, Colorado Succeeds and the Denver Employees Retirement Plan.  He is a former Peace Corps Volunteer.
