ABOUT THE COLORADO FORUM

The Colorado Forum was established in 1978 to create an informed, objective voice on critical public policy issues facing the state.  Our 77 members are recognized leaders in the business, education, health care, media, legal, real estate, agriculture, financial, energy, consulting, tourism, construction, and non-profit communities and represent disparate parts of the state.  Forum membership is politically diverse; we are a nonpartisan organization that operates by 100% consensus. Tom Kaesemeyer

Executive Director, Fox Family Foundation


After 19 years heading two independent schools, Westtown School in Pennsylvania and Kent Denver School in Colorado, Tom Kaesemeyer served as executive director of the Gates Family Foundation in Denver. He retired in June, 2010 after 13 years in that position.

He currently is working part-time as executive director of the Fox Family Foundation, which focuses on supporting education reform and self-sufficiency projects in Denver and New Orleans.

He is a trustee of Saint Anne’s Episcopal School and a board member of A+ Colorado, a nonprofit, independent organization that serves in a watchdog capacity for Denver Public Schools.  After 17 years of serving as Chair of the Reisher Scholarship Committee, Tom has resigned from that position but continues to serve actively on the Reisher Committee. Reisher provides scholarships for over 300 students in five Colorado state universities and now has six State University partners.

Tom graduated from Lehigh University (BA) and the University of Washington (MA). He and his wife, Sally, served in the Peace Corps in Peru. They have two children, Kate and Karl.
