The Colorado Forum was established in 1978 to create an informed, objective voice on critical public policy issues facing the state. Our 65 members are recognized leaders in the business, education, healthcare, media, legal, real estate, energy and non-profit communities and represent disparate regions in the state of Colorado. Michael T. Baxter

President and Chief Executive Officer, Parkview Medical Center

Michael T. Baxter (Mike) currently serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer for Parkview Medical Center, a position that he has held since April of 2009. Mike has spent nearly 20 years of his career with Parkview Medical Center, serving in several capacities to include Vice President of Managed Care (8/1999) and Chief Operations Officer (4/2005) prior to his appointment as President and Chief Executive Officer.

Professionally, Mike is a member of the Colorado Hospital Association, serving as Chair in 2014. Mike is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and serves on numerous community boards to include Pueblo Triple Aim Board and Pueblo Community College Advisory Board (Chairman 2012 - current).

Mike is a graduate of Holy Cross Abbey High School in Canon City and has received a Bachelors degree in Accounting from Colorado State University in Pueblo as well as a Masters in Business Administration from Colorado State University in Pueblo.       

Mike is married (Dorothy Givler Baxter), and has three boys, Collin (23), and twins Jacob and Sam (22) and he resides in Pueblo West, Colorado.  Mike enjoys spending as much time as possible with his family, preferably outdoors with activities that include fishing, camping, and skiing.
