Mr. Halstedt is a co-founder and a managing director of Centennial Ventures, a private venture firm formed in 1981. From 1976 to 1981, he was president of Daniels & Associates, an investment banking firm specializing in the cable television industry and a member of the leadership team for the parent company, Daniels Properties, Inc., a cable television MSO. Previously, he was an investment manager in the Private Placement Department of the Travelers Insurance Corporation. Before that he was a combat engineer platoon leader and a battalion assistant operations officer in the U.S. Army in Vietnam.

Mr. Halstedt is Chairman of the Board of Market Force Information. He has been chairman of a number of successful publicly traded companies including OneComm, Inc. and Verio, Inc. Mr. Halstedt was the founding president and a former chairman of the Venture Capital Association of Colorado, and is a former board member of the National Venture Capital Association. Active in non-profits, Mr. Halstedt chairs the boards of the Fulcrum Foundation and the Denver School of Science and Technology and is a current board member and past board chair of Open World Learning. He is a board member at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and serves on the advisory board of the Center for Colorado’s Future at the University of Denver. He is also a member of the Colorado Forum.

Mr. Halstedt received a B.S. with Distinction from Worcester Polytechnical Institute (“WPI”), where he currently is a Board of Trustee, and an M.B.A. from the Amos Tuck School of Dartmouth College, where he was a Tuck Scholar. He attended the University of Connecticut School of Law. Mr. Halstedt was the recipient of an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award for the Rocky Mountain region in 1999. He received the Robert Goddard award from WPI in 1998.
