Alice Jackson
Senior Vice President, System Strategy and Chief Planning Officer, Xcel Energy

Alice K. Jackson is the Senior Vice President, System Strategy and Chief Planning Officer for Xcel. Jackson leads the company’s Integrated System Planning organization, to focus on developing and executing integrated plans for generation, transmission and distribution on the electric and natural gas systems to meet the company’s vision to deliver net-zero energy by 2050 while preserving reliability and affordability for customers.

Prior to that role, Alice served as president of Xcel Energy – Colorado from 2018 to 2022. She was responsible for all aspects of the Colorado operating company, including state and local regulatory and government affairs, along with customer and community relations and charitable giving efforts in the state.

Before her time with Xcel Energy, Alice spent close to 10 years with Occidental Petroleum Corporation (Oxy) managing the energy needs of this large consumer across the country. Through her involvement in the federal and state electric markets, multiple rate cases, and interaction with customers large and small, Alice developed a unique respect for utilities and their contributions to society.

Because having a full-time career, being married to her high school sweetheart and having four sons is not enough of an adventure in life, Alice recently took on the challenge of advancing her business acumen. In 2017 Alice completed the Program for Leadership Development at Harvard University. Before her professional experience, Alice obtained a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems from Texas A&M University.

Alice is a trustee for Colorado Succeeds, a board member for the American Red Cross Colorado/Wyoming chapter and a Women’s Business Alliance member for Mile High United Way.
