Jon L. Kinning is Co-Owner, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of RK Industries, LLC (dba RK), a Colorado-based construction, manufacturing, and service company with more than 60 years in business. RK is recognized as one of Colorado's top family-owned businesses and among its largest private companies by revenue. The company employs nearly 3,000 people and operates seven factories totaling more than 1 million square feet in Aurora and Adams County, with regional offices in Salt Lake City, UT; Phoenix, AZ; Abilene, TX; Cheyenne, WY; and Eagle-Vail, CO.

After several years in the family business, Jon worked as a licensed broker with CB Richard Ellis before returning to RK, where he founded the company's commercial Service division in 1998. He is also President of the RK Foundation, which has granted nearly $4 million to nonprofit and public causes in RK's communities since 2011.

Jon's passion for education, mental health and workforce development drives his community involvement. He serves on the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee, the Johnson Depression Center at CU Anschutz Advisory Board, the Metropolitan State University of Denver Foundation Board, the Colorado Succeeds Board of Trustees and the ACE Scholarships Advisory Board. He is a founder and board member of the Green and Gold Foundation, an active member of YPO's Vail Valley Integrated and Rocky Mountain Gold chapters, and a 2014 graduate of Leadership Denver.

Jon holds a BSBA in Finance and Real Estate from Colorado State University and an MBA from the University of Denver, and is a LEED AP BD+C.

He lives in Denver and Vail and enjoys time with his family, golfing, skiing, dirt biking, hockey, travel, and an active Colorado lifestyle.
