Barbara Vidmar
Chairman, American International Automobile Association (Retired)

Barbara Zoet Vidmar was born and raised in Bellingham, Washington. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing Therapy from Colorado State University - Fort Collins in 1971. She and her family have lived in Pueblo, Colorado since 1972 and she has been active in the community for over four decades.

Professionally, Barbara managed an automobile dealership representing both domestic and import nameplates for more than thirty years, serving in many capacities including Dealer Principal. During that time she served her profession on the board of Colorado Automobile Dealers Association (CADA) and the American International Automobile Association (AIADA) where she became the first woman chairman of an automotive trade organization. Barbara was named one of the top 100 women in the automobile industry in 2000 and Time Magazine Outstanding Dealer for Colorado in 2005. She also served her industry for many years on the National Dealers Association Charitable Trust Foundation Board of Directors. She is now retired.

Mrs. Vidmar is on the board of directors of Pueblo Economic Development Corporation (PEDCo) and was Chair in 2015. She is a past board member of St. John Neumann Catholic School and HARP Foundation. Barbara is currently chairman of CSU-Pueblo Foundation. She currently sits on the advisory board for Groupo Cemento (GCC) and is an active member of the Streetscape Committee as well as Rotary #43. She has served as a Pueblo Urban Renewal Authority Commissioner, Past-Chair of Parkview Medical Center Board of Directors, YMCA Board of Directors and Channel 8 (PBS) Auction Committee and is a past-president of Pueblo City Council.

She and her husband, Bill, have been married for 50 years and have three adult children and four grandsons.
