Jesus Salazar
CEO, Pico AI
Jesus Salazar is a Colorado native and entrepreneur who loves bringing exceptional people together to do exceptional things. He is the co-founder and CEO of Pico AI, a Denver-based company whose AI-native software helps the teams that run large, complex buildings — hotels, airports, and multifamily communities — see their work, clear it, and get ahead of it. He also co-founded Prosono, a business strategy and social impact firm, where he serves as Executive Chairman. Across his career, Jesus has developed, architected, managed, and serviced large projects for more than 275 of the largest companies in North America.
Jesus is deeply engaged in Colorado’s civic life, education, and economic development. He currently serves as Vice-Chair and Technology Committee Chair of Pinnacol Assurance, as an independent director of Empower Funds, as a trustee of the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, and as co-chair of the Colorado Forum’s Education Committee. His prior leadership includes serving as Chairman of the Colorado School of Mines Board of Trustees; founding board member and Chair of the Nominations & Governance Committee of Elevate Quantum, the region’s federally designated quantum technology hub; and Chair of Rocky Mountain Public Media. A longtime champion of education reform, he has held board and chair roles across numerous education-focused organizations, including Colorado Succeeds — and in 2009, at the request of Lt. Governor Barbara O’Brien, he co-chaired the “Turning Around Struggling Schools” subcommittee for Colorado’s Race to the Top application. Jesus holds a BS in Mathematics and Computer Science and an MS in Engineering and Technology Management, both from the Colorado School of Mines.
