Ted’s legal practice focuses on representing companies, lenders, and private equity funds in complex transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, and financings (public and private debt and equity placements) in the United States and internationally. Ted provides in-depth advice to large and small businesses regarding all aspects of the operation of a business, from the selection and formation of the most appropriate entity for the business to the negotiation and drafting of the many different agreements necessary to conduct business. He also provides legal representation to clients involved in commercial and industrial real estate ventures.

Ted currently serves as Senior Counselor for a prominent investor and philanthropist’s extensive business, policy, political and philanthropic efforts. Ted is also the founder of Estabrook Funds, a fund of multi-strategy absolute return hedge funds, one of the first of its kind in the United States. Ted is an arbitrator for complex commercial disputes through the American Arbitration Association. He has resolved dozens of commercial claims relative to matters such as loans, securities fraud, merger and acquisition, professional sports contracts and other complex business issues. He is the author of the book, “Business Contracts: A Guide for Lawyers and Business Owners,” which was last updated in 2013.

He is married to Nancy and has three children.
